I have been using Blender for some time purely as a modeller for models to be rendered in other applications, but recently have been starting to learn to use Blender for rendering as well. I have been using Yaffray with Blender 2.41 on a PowerPC Mac, Panther OS (10.3.9) and Python 2.3.
No problems getting a render out and the quality is fine, (well sort of, I don’t know yet how to do as good job of setting it up but that I am confident of learning). The problem is that when Yaffray is rendering I get no feedback and pressing the ESCape key does nothing. I seem to recall that a previous version displayed the render as it progressed, and that pressing ESCape would allow you to abort the render. Am I mistaken? If I am not mistaken, how do I get the old behaviour back? While I am learning it would be a big help to have some feedback while a render progresses and also to be able to abort a render so I can tweak settings.
I have done a search here but found no references to this problem, and this definitely seems like the best Blender help site as far as I can tell.
