It was Christmas day, so i was kinda busy, and at a certain point i was kinda just like, fuck it, cuz Im trying to hang out with my family n shit, so its not as good as it couldve been but whatever.

This was difficult to do in less than one day. Its my most complicated character animation to date, which goes to show that I’ve barely animated characters. I think it came out alright, but there’s definitely some flaws. I didnt use any reference for it, and I kind of have a hard time really guessing how many frames a movement should be. The best viewport performance I can usually get while playing an animation is like, 10 FPS, so I have to render viewport animations everytime I want to actually see if a movement is working, and then tweak it, and then render the viewport again, and so on and so forth.
I think with experience I’ll get a feel for how many frames things should be. Ive done multiple walk cycles and those are easy to just sorta do freeform now.
Its my understanding that the best way to approach animation is by planning out all the major poses first. Which I unfortunately didnt really do here. I think this added extra work. But since its a daily art, I really had no idea where I was going with it.
Oh and also, it took over three hours to render the base layer at 16 samples in cycles. The background took 17 - 20 minutes in eevee, and the foreground grass was like, i dunno really fast. Maybe 2-3 minutes.
oh, heres day 84 by the way. Started at 10:32 pm, finished at 11:59 pm. It was very close, so honestly I didnt reaaaally finish it. There are some glaring errors.
