Nintendo World 2011: Japan's Nintendo 3DS launch line-up

Nintendo Japan have today announced the eight titles that will accompany the Nintendo 3DS at launch on February 26th 2011. Only one game is developed by Nintendo with the rest being third-party titles, good thing Nintendo got all that support they hoped for.

Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D ¥5,040 ($61 AUD)
nintendogs + cats ¥4,800 ($58 AUD)
Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle ¥5,980 ($72 AUD)
Tobidasu! Puzzle Bobble 3D ¥4,980 ($60 AUD)
Ridge Racer 3D ¥6,090 ($73.50 AUD)
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition ¥4,800 ($58 AUD)
Samurai Warriors: Chronicle ¥6,090 ($73.50 AUD)
Winning Eleven Soccer 3D ¥5,800 ($70 AUD)

Nintendo’s other previously announced games will arrive in Japan later on in the year. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will launch within three months of the Nintendo 3DS during Japan’s Spring whilst Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising will arrive in the Summer. Release dates for Mario Kart, Paper Mario and Animal Crossing are still a mystery at this point.

Next up is Nintendo America’s turn on January 19th where Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed Nintendo will reveal the launch line-up, release date and pricing in America.

This is amazing! It’s going to make 3D viewing mainstream, I wish that this console will be homebrew friendly, if it does, it’s going to be a must-have.

WOOHOO! :smiley: really looking forward to seeing the 3DS in person, it looks so…awesome. no other word for it.

Count me in as an early adapter; even though they’ll likely come out with a ‘3DS XL’ a year later :confused:
