Does it do normal to height map conversion?
At this moment, nope, but I was thinking to implement it as a side feature. Do you think it’s worth it?
I only ask because there are so few options out there for it. CrazyBump can do it, I think, but not many other applications. If it could do normal to height conversion, I’d be more than happy to actively beta test!
So, I’ve come up with a quite nice algorithm to generate height maps. I’m no 3d artist, but here’s what I came up with:
