Can anyone tell me why I can only open about one in ten avi’s.

The rest of them tell me that no sutable compression can be found.

I sense I’m missing a lot of really good stuff.

well, if you could tell us a little more information such as what’s your o.s. for example… I could be more sure…

But anyway it seems that you are missing some codecs installed, on your machine…

I’m on a PC. 933 w/ ME and I’m try to open with windows media player and quick time. I just upgraded both of them in hopes to resolve the problem, but no such luck.

I assume you mean AVI created from Blender right?

Did you choose AVI Raw or AVI JPEG as output format?

AVI JPEG is not installed by default on most computers, so that could be the problem.

thats happend to me before on old and new comp. media player and divx decided that they will play very few files so i went and got realplayer never had a problem since.

Actually most of us uses DivX codec www.divx.com
