No audio in .mov file?

I made a short film in the NLE screen.
In preview it runs OK, but when i render the sequence the music isn’t there.
Is that normal or am i doing something wrong.

Yeah that’s normal. You must add the sound to the movie in an external program afterwards. Blender doesn’t support that just yet.

On Windows I believe VirtualDub will do the job (can anyone confirm?).

On Linux mplayer/mencoder or the more advanced Cinelerra works just fine.
