when i try to add a key frame to record my pose i dont get the keying menu.
Instead I get this message at the top of the window:

You have a keyset active so it adds keyframes to this keying set.
If you delete the keyset from the timeline header you then get the old ‘insert keyframe menu’ show up when you press I
