When I render I can see my texture, but there are no shadows. And there is no real time shadows when I am in texture mode either. What shall I do?
Textures shouldn’t affect shadows. Can you provide more details about your material and lighting settings or attach your blend file?
My bad, there is now shadows in the render. But I want realtime shadows when I’m in texture mode. Here is the blend, and now when I got your attention. Maybe I could ask if you know of any good tutorial on how to make a walk cycle in the game engine. It’s a bit off topic, but if you know you could tell me. Ah, if it’s working when you render, then it’s a whole different matter.
Take a look at at ebola’s thread on real time shadows. To summarize, unless you’re using a SVN version of Blender, you have to fake them. A number of methods to fake them are brought up in the linked thread.
