I’m making an audio visualizer. I added an mp3 in the Video Squencer, then baked sound to f-curves to control the light (R = 0-30khz, G= 30.1-50khz, B= 50.1-100khz).
It was working fine…I just made some edits to keyframes for the camera & materials.
Now I’m not getting any sound…I deleted the sound track & started over, but still no sound.
I also tried adding a speaker, but no sound, and the soundtrack to the speaker, but no sound.
I tried opening previous saved versions, and no sound. The speakers & headphones work fine when I play the soundtrack by itself.
Must be something simple, but don’t have a clue. Nothing is muted.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.
I never worked with sound inside Blender. When I needed I used the animation rendered in Blender and edited the video in Kdenlive, so, I have no clue now, but I will make some tests here.
The sound is working here. What operating system are you using? When I started I couldn’t hear the sound, but on the taskbar of my system, where I see the Blender name there’s this speaker, that is supposed to activate the sound inside Blender. I just clicked on it and started to hear the sound right after. I am using Kubuntu here.
Thanks for the information. I did not know about Kdenlive, but will check it out.
I’m using Windows 10 Home & Blender 3.1, and don’t see a speaker icon next Blender in the taskbar.
I can see in the Graph Editor how the baking changed the curve in each of the light channels (RGB).
I’ll re-render the animation, and try combining the mp4 with the mp3 in Kdenlive.
I may just have to start over using a different version of Blender, or re-install it.
Have you created any audiovisualizers? I haven’t had any problems till now,
and it was working perfectly the first try, so it’s strange that it would not work
suddenly, like I had muted it somehow accidently.
Later… I just upgraded to Blender 3.2, added the mp3 using the Video Squencer, pushed, play, et oila! It works fine.
Actually, never. I made some video clip editions in Kdenlive as a study, only. Made some pretty good video clips using the original music videos and adapted them to good remix versions of the songs.
