No Sound in OS X!

Just to try and get an idea how many others experience this problem or if anyone knows a solution, I get absolutely no sound in blender, cant test play wavs, they dont sound off during the game, nothing.

Just to chime in and confirm this. There is no output in the Mac version (2.25). I have even tried to make the file on a PC and then load it in the Mac. Still silence (which isn’t always a bad thing).

IIRC, the Mac version was just a Beta, and sound support hadn’t been finished when NaN went bankrupt.

I had figured as much, but had no way to confirm it.
Does anyone know if this has been resolved? (so, if I got the code via CVS and compiled if myself if would work?)

Not that this is an option I wish to pursue at this time. (I developed a bad relationship with Crystal Space last year, and that’s not a slam. It is a quality piece of work).

Thanks.

I had a similar probem on Linux with 2.25 (not 2.24.) The sound would only play if loop was set.

If you build Tuhopuu2 from CVS, you can fix the sound for Apple and use ODE/Enji physics until Solid 3.5 is released.

That is assuming I had enough knowledge to get it built right and then knowing what to look for to fix it. I have enought trouble with python scripting.

I have looked at using CVS and compiling myself, but I always get into trouble with required libraries and Fink is a pain in the *ss sometimes.

I just need to get a little more knowledgeable first, but thanks for the information on Tuhopuu2.
