Primary Question
- Object ID and 2. Z Depth and 3. Layer mask
do not work very in well for certain user needs with transparent images
where the plane is in front of some items.
How do I get useful information to replace these 3 types of info
from images with transparent areas?
This will be used for node composite transformations.

I used a plane with a material and texture.
The texture has transparent and opaque portions
The image renders fine. Transparency is fine.
Now the problem.
Regular Layer Mask does not seem to work in this case,
since the object can be both visible and further away than a transparent image

The user in this case needs only the visible areas, which is not a solid rectangle
