Node Editor too small?

Hi,
I’m completly new to this and am finding it a bit of a steep learning curve.
I have reached “nodes” the problem i have is the boxes in the nodes editor are far too small, can not make out what’s in the boxes let alone type anything in them, what is the problem here?

You can zoom in to the nodes just as you zoom in the 3d viewport.
You can also use the View / View All menu to fit the nodes to the view
