how can i add a filter node ?

i tried to find it in the different menus but cannot find it ?

i think i’m in composite node editor but where is this filter node ?

and how do you get the node compositor or the material node editor ?
i mean i want to transfert from one to the other but don’t remember how to do that ?

RickyBlender,

Pictures are worth a thousand words. For the compositor, you have to click on use nodes before anything will show up using the spacebar menus.
