I have two questions First if you look at the image you can see my setup There you will see my output the skin is okay but there is a black area that should be alpha, if i wire the alpha at the output the whole object is too much transparent it gets rid of the black areas as in the picture i have tried several setups but no luck The object is a fish so parts like the fins a re semi-trans which of course i make in GIMP
the second question I have my nodes setup that way because i am using caustics going over my objects but if for example i am making caustics on the back of a shark texture i don’t want the animated caustics on the belly of the shark so how would i set that up? I know it has something to do with a stencil i guess it would be similar to what i have with a small adjustment.
For your alpha, just run the alpha of your FIRST node into the alpha of the output. Right now you’re simply mapping the color information to both color and alpha. Skip the mix node for the alpha.
No i already tried that it makes it more transparent, If i could just increase the texture more (i have it as high as it goes) that would help maybe someone else has an idea. Also i wanted to know if i want my caustics not on the entire model Like i said i know it has something to do with stencil wanted to know hot to set that up as well
I included a blend so you can see exactly my problem. start the game engine and the fish will move with the caustics sliding over his body, The fish is too transparent by unclicking the nodes button you can see the fish with alpha on the fins the way i wanted it to look I have to use nodes for the caustics There should be a way to fix this but i have tried several different setups

I have tried many different ways to setup Please download the blend and fix it so i can see the correct way of doing it thanks remember the link i gave you does not work for some reason so type in everything you see except where the stars are, in that area type paste all that is one word. when i type in paste all in one word stars appear
