Noise Moderfier for Blender

I have been using Blender for a while now, and one of the projects that I have requires me to render a couple of asteroids. When using 3d Max I would have drawn a sphere and would then apply a noise moderfier to the mesh to scramble it up a bit. Then I would have to fine tune it.

I have been looking around for a simular function inside the Blender system, does anyone have any scripts that would do the same sort of function, or at least point me in the right direction.

You can use subsurf+displace modifier. This saves a lot of modelling time to you, since you just have to define a good procedural displacement texture, and get a very hight detail through it.

I have found an old script that might do, just finishing updating it will see how it goes.

There is a new asteroid belt script as well.

I wish Blender had a noise controller like 3DSMax does.
