Hi. Umm… Yeah. Haven’t been on here in forever, due to the fact my house no longer has a computer. Which also means I haven’t used Blender in probably a year. It’s a scary thought since I’m installing it on my uncle’s comp right now, and that I’ll probably be even worse than I was before. Can’t wait to try out these new features though.
So what did I miss?

well aren’t you a bunch of youngsters… haha weird that i can say that. old man voice i was registered here waay back in 2007 when Blender… umm… can’t remember back that far… but I’m sure it was a more difficult program than it is now. if i could learn it…
i also just started up 2.50 and the first words out of my mouth were “Holy shit.”

Well, the community has really progressed a lot even in the short while I’ve been here, learning becomes easier every day. My website has links I’ve uncovered little by little, but the some of the most noticable ones are

There was a poll somewhere but I couldn’t find it, about 2/3’s of the community is using 2.5 and the rest are still 2.49b (me too). However all the new tutorials rolling out are all for 2.5 so there’s no shortage of material for the new beta.

I looked at Durian a while back. I still can’t believe that that’s Blender under the hood. Damn fantastic.
For sure, I’m anxious to see it! It was lots of fun watching Colin and the team too, a gifted bunch.
I remember you quite well actually. I changed my avatar, so I’m not sure if you remember me. Anyways, blender 2.5x has change greatly. I recommend setting aside “a lot” of time to re-learn blender 2.5x before trying to do any serious work.
BTW: Blender 2.54 is going to be release soon (if you can’t wait, compile it from svn).
