[NOOB] I really can't render a scene.

Hi to all,
I am new to this forum, I’m a noob and i can’t use english very well, I am sorry for that :frowning:

I have been working for hours with Blender trying to realize a nice landscape and finally I did it, I am happy for that, but I really can’t understand how to render the scene as a video file or even to frames. I realized a particle system that “drops” snow in front of the camera, but if I try to “render animation” (not OpenGL but Full render) i only get a short video where i can see the snow particles and the sky, nothing else. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me please? D:

Thanks in advance, good evening

okay so there a couple steps you need to do to make a rendered video.

step 1. if you want to make to make the video longer, you have to change the final frame number in the timeline window

step 2. you have to pick a place to put the video, in the properties panel under the Render tab there is a output section, you need to pick a destination folder(the default is the tmp folder on your hard drive)

step 3. still in the output section you need to pick a file type, if you want it as a bunch of pictures leave it as png, if you want it as a video pick one of the movie formats(i normally go with Xvid)

step 4. click the animate button at the top of the render tab, then go to your file output folder in file explorer. and you should find either a bunch of pictures or a video wit a name like 000-100

it sounds like some of you objects are out of the render area. i am not sure how to change this but i think if you scale everything down it should render everything

if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask

Hi, many new user switch off render in Outliner per mistake.

https://www.blender.org/manual/editors/outliner.html

Camera symbol switch render on and off.

Cheers, mib
