Noob with,noob questions

Ok I’m in a game development contest,I’m learning programming,and I’d like to make the game single,but for this I need to lean a modeling yea?Cool I’ve got some questions about 3d modeling for games:

  • Is Blender good for beginners?
  • Can I learn the sufficient to make a game character in one moth?
  • I don’t know to draw is that needed to model a simple character?
  • If the ask #3 is true can I learn draw and modeling in one month?

  1. yes, and the new interface they made in 2.5 is probably more user-friendly then before (thats my opinion)

  2. absolutly.
    of course, it WILL take some dedication, but if u go on blendercookie.com and other various sites like blendtuts.org and whatever google gets u, and watch tutorials on a… daily basis i guess, u can do it.
    another thing u can do, if u wanna take the short, lazy way, is to use the makehuman plugin, which is a human character generator, which will probably save u the time on modeling the actuall human, so u can focus on clothes, weapons etc.

  3. a drawing skill is very very helpful in 3D modeling, but i can draw for shit either, and i still make due.
    u can use blueprints for many things. also, google is ur best friend.
