Hi. I have recently taken interest in doing 3D desgin. I know it is not something that you can just pick up and figure out all on your own. Although that is possible. I came across blender and I downloaded it. I got some tutorials on it but I am still lost on how to use the program. As for the tutorials I keep screwing up on them. Can anyone tell me were a good begginers guide is for 3D desgin with blender?

-thanks

Well, first off, welocome to Blender! You will now be eternally sucked into the Blender void of no more life. %|

So, see this link for a list of just about every tute there is and has been for blender -> https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4624

Also, the 2.0 Manual has been released on the Blender.org site here -> http://download.blender.org/documentation/NaN_docs/Manual2.0/

That should give you all the information you will ever need. I would seriously suggest you go through the interface and beginner stuff in the manual. Very good stuff there.

Happy Blending!

Welcome. Being a beginner myself, I know how difficult it can be to find the “right” tutorials. To testify to this, I have a crap-load of tuts that I’ve collected. If you want, I could email you a zip file with most of them. Primarily, they’re the ones that helped me figure Blender out from Day 1. Also, check out tutorialhunt.com. Some good tuts there which I haven’t seen anywhere else. Which version of Blender do you use?

just a word of advice before you start doing the tutorials.
If you are having trouble with a tutorial, and you have tried basically everything to get it to work but you still can’t, just save what you’ve got and try something else. I can’t tell you how many times i couldn’t get something to work, only to go back sometime later and find i was just missing one button.

Also posting specific questions on this forum will get your answer too.

Give these a try. The link is at the bottom of page two.
I wrote them specifically for the newest of the new.

Good luck and have fun.
