Noobe Q. Help with setting up box modelling.

Should be a simple answer but I can’t find it anywhere online. Maybe it can’t be done in Blender?

I would like to try my hand at box modelling but I am not sure how to set up the workspace. I would like ref pictures such as it is set up here:

I know they aren’t using Blender but does blender have something like this? I know about using a background image but if I want both a top, side, and front view then using a background image is not adequate.

(also, I’m not trying to model that car, just a square toaster ) :smiley:

I’m no expert but the few tries I’ve had at car modeling I’ve stitched together the front, side, and top images into one large image. Then set this image as the background in all my views.

It works for the front and side, but I’ve never been able to line up the top view correctly. It’s always a mile off for some reason. So always had to move rotate the mesh to check the top, and then rotate it back to continue.

I’m a bit of a noob, hence the bodge job :-?

If you have 3 windows open then you can load a different pic into each.
