Noobie Normals Question

On my two most recent models, all of the normals are constrained to the x,y,z axis. If I rotate a face or rotate an extrusion, the normals are not perpendicuar to the faces. Is there a preferece somewhere that I can’t find? I’ve looked evereywhere in Blender and in the wiki. Any help would be huge, thanks!!

You might have scaled the model along an axis in object mode. Try selecting the object in object mode and press ‘Ctrl + a’ and then click ‘scale’
