NOOOOOB: Hair not moving with rig v.2.82

New member looking for help/tutorial explaining how to assign free-floating hair/beard mesh to head bone. Having trouble applying tutorials I’ve found for this issue for prior versions to v. 2.82.

You have duplicated parts of your mesh and are looking at two different mesh parts. Select your armature modifier in the panel and make sure all boxes are checked. Select all your bones and then move all of them in pose mode at least a couple of large grid spaces and you will see the duplicated mesh. Go to edit and get rid of the duplicate.
