Normal Explode , 2.49 or 2.5 ?

I want to expplode a plane. it will have a video uvmapped , when the video is over i want to to explode so that the next video can be seen.

so i just want it to explode , and maybe that the particules bounce when they hit the floor.

can 2.49 do this ?

are there any advantages in 2.5 for this “simple” effect ?

Easy. Just setup a particle system on your plane. Subdivide it several times. Now add the explode modifier. Blam. 2.49b
