Just come to a problem. This is a quick test texture I threw up on a single door.
I haven’t done any normal maps or anything just yet because it was a quick paint job to see if the co-ordinates worked.
I’m really new to texturing, and say if I made a normal map for this with ndo2 or nvidia or whatever automated process i use, how do I make is so that the text is not effected?
What I mean is, if I lay a nice chipped/scratched metal texture on top then all is good, but the warning stripes around the edges and the ‘bay1’ text will also be bumped way too much.
Any thoughts? How do you go about this?
