normals direction

Hello, I just started with blender and I have one question by the time being:

Im trying to make a hollow object like this: one sphere with single sided faces and normals pointing outwards, and a smaller inner sphere, also single sided, with its normals pointing inwards; the problem I have is nothing happens when I flip the inner sphere normals, the object looks exactly the same. Am I missing something? as far as I know, I should only see the inner faces of the object, right? Is there something else I should do to get that effect?

TIA!

Am I missing something?
I don’t know about you but we’re missing screenshots in your post and a link to your blend file.

Depends on your scene and your display and shading settings. These things you haven’t told us anything about.

Remember you’re the one with the problem, if you want anyone to help you, make sure YOU’RE the one doing all the work to enable them to be able to do so. Don’t make it so we have to guess which of the many possible problems is the one in your case
