I’ve just spent an hour searching through posts and can’t find the answer to why I’m getting this error msg:
“Not an armature!”
I’ve selected an armature, made poses, deleted all links between the data block of the armature and these poses, then went to the NLA window with the armature alone selected (triple checked this), hit shift-A and get the msg, “Not an armature!”
I’ve tried in both publisher 2.25 and in 2.6 without luck.
It did work in other blend files uses same both of above blender versions, but not in this file.
Any help would be appreciated.
Try placing your mouse cursor over the armature line (or on any existing action below) in the NLA Editor when you press Shift_a.
Not exactly sure the reason ‘why’, but I guess the armature that your mouse is over is given focus, the same way a window in Blender is given focus depending on where your mouse cursor is located.
So, I was always selecting the armature then moving the mouse away. Thanks for the response, it was making me crazy. :<
What does Shift A do, exactly?
If there is a way to delete one of my posts, let me know.
