ok i might be new to blender and so far, i love LOVE the program! but it feels like there aren’t enough 2d animation tutorials on the web. I’ve been searching high and low on the internet for 2d animation tutorials and only found 2 sufficient videos that are in depth with the grease pencil/2d animation. I’ve also found a plethora of grease pencil 2d animation that are about 2 mins long or they’re speed tutorials or they offer a paid subscription service for 1 tutorial video of what i need.
Questions: is 2d animation treated the same way as 3d animation in blender. Could i learn 3d and interchange that with 2d? Do you guys know where i can find decent grease pencil 2d animation tutorials that aren’t a waste of time?
I completly agree, Blender 2.8 could be the best tool for 2D animation one day. For the moment, few tools are missing to get a real nice worflowfor 2D. So if you ask if you should learn 3D to get to 2D, no it’s ok, you can directly try the 2D workspace ! Or change 2D strokes to 3D mesh…

But overwise, yeah, there is not so much of grease pencils tutorials. Mostly because the soft changes so often that you don’t even know if what you’re teaching is what you gonna get the next day.
Some tools to make storyboards easier, or some tools to get better closed lines. What a mess to get something clean. Maybe I am missing something on that, a tutorial or something, but every time I make a coloration of my animation I kinda get crazy. Some customizable brushes would be amazing ( not just procedural stuff), as long as some drawing library to reuse elements( drawings you already made ).
