Not Normal

Hi,

I’ve made a mesh, but turning on show normals indicates that all the normals are pointing inwards. So i’ve tried ‘Ctrl + N’, but they stayed the same, so I tried ‘Shift + Ctrl + N’ to try the opposite, but still no joy… eh? :eek:

Anything else I can try?

The mesh was made from two ‘Curve -> Bezier Circles’, joined, converted to mesh and then extruded. Maybe (probably) this is the reason, but it’s quite a complex shape, requiring beziers to form it. Is there a better way to extrude curves with voids (say convert to mesh and then do a boolean operation?).

You can try flip normals in edit mode W, 0.

in edit more select all
WKEY-> Flip normals

Yep, that did the trick, now to wait for the other bake to finish so I can test it… Fingers crossed, even though i’ve just advanced my curve modelling (I think).

Many thanks!

you welcome :slight_smile:
best luck with the curves
