Not stable chain simulation in swing model. Not idea what is wrong.


I don’t have much experience in Blender, maybe it’s something obvious that I missed, I still learning. Would be awesome if Someone could check it.

I used a mesh type for all objects, I tried many margin settings for objects, now is set for 0 everywhere to clean it, everything is exploding in space. Don’t have idea where is a mistake.

Honestly, it is a nightmare most of the time to use rigid bodies for this kind of problems which require a lot of accurate collision handling.

I would simulation the chains with soft body, using a curve object.

Afterwards you would need to make the actual chain follow this simulation object, by using a curve modifier.
