A few days ago we have been listening to Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Human”.

Maybe my eyes are better than my ears, but we are still discussing two things about that song that I’m not sure about. As the internet wasn’t helpful/reliable and I don’t think keeping listening to it will make things any better, I was thinking: Maybe my fellow blenderheads can help with this! 
Problem #1:
Can anyone understand the word right after the intro (“I’m only human, I’m only, I’m only, I’m only human, human […]”)?
Problem #2: Does he say “Got no way to prove it so maybe I’m lying” (my ears) or “Got no way to prove it so maybe I’m blind” (youtube video info box)?
I’d say, the first time it is “blind”, the second time it is “lying”. But I seem to be quite alone with that… 
Any thoughts on this matter are highly appreciated!
