Nothing seems to work

I decided to take up 3D modeling again but nothing seems to work. I tried several different tutorials and nothing seems to work right. Even when I used version 2.69 nothing would work like in the tutorials. Is it some major issue with the new updates.

these are sum tutorials I tried and had to quit because it seems there is a brick wall in blender keeping me from advancing. Its really making me angry it happens about around when I actually need to start modeling

Why not tell us exactly what doesn’t work ? That will help other people give you specific suggestions

Yeah, it’s difficult for us to tell something based on “It doesn’t work”, post videos, screenshots, .blend files, otherwise we really can’t help you.
