NPR style rendering

Hello everyone,
I’m currently working on a non-photo realistic style based on painting with polygons.
Please don’t critique the model too much (unless it’s to do with making it seem more drawn / painted) because it is the rendering I’m wanting to improve.

As usual, thank you everyone for your help.

Be as harsh as you feel necessary (if not more  )

Wow I had never heard of this technique. This is awesome.

I’m going to have to play with this.

Did you add the pencil like outlines in photoshop or gimp after render?

Hm, what do you mean by painting with polygons? edit: aah,ok, that link gave a bit more context

Regarding how successful it is… it depends on what you’re aiming for.
I like the paint and I like the pencil, but that combination of realistic light-rendering paint and sketchy pencil outlines isn’t seen very often with physical art materials.
Such a mix may work great as a personal style, or come across as a “I like those two looks, so I’ll just mash 'em together!”-decision, depending on the context of the final render.
Since you’ve gone with a non-representative test render setup, you probably have to explain your goal a bit more to get really useful feedback:)
