NTSC and 24p Playback?

Hey!

I´m working with blender along with Ardour for video editing by using THIS script, which I must say it works incredibly well. This script sycronizes the cursor of the sequence editor with Jack, so you can use blender for video editing and Ardour for sound editing like a single app.

The thing is that I noticed that Blender doesn´t change the playback speed with the fractions option, the /1.001 option. It seems that the playback rate is only determined by the fps field, but the fractions field doesn´t alter it at all. If you set the timeline display to seconds, you´ll notice a change in the ruler when you use the /1.001 option, but the actual time is not changed, as the cursor in Ardour remains the same.

So, 24/1.001 playbacks actually at 24 fps, and 30/1.001 playbacks as 30 fps.

Does anyone know if this is supposed to work like this?

Doesn’t seem to work that way me (on Windows). 30/1.001 fps gives 29.97

OK, maybe the error in the playback is due to the script. The script might not be taking into account the fractions field. I’ve already mailed the author about the issue.
