Hi!
Have Ubuntu 9.04 installed on my MacBookPro 5,1, with Blender 2.48a. Have a special utility software to switch off Compiz compositing before I run Blender.
Frustrated with the clumsiness of using just the trackpad for Blender, have added a Logitech wired USB Mouse with an LMB, RMB, and a scroll button (nope, it has no MMB per se).
Have sets defaults in User Preferences, to switch on ‘Emulate 3 Buttons Mouse’.
and ‘Emulate NumPad’.
Please tell me, what magic key(s) do I press to get NUM-dot, and NUM-comma? Have tried all permutations with the Fn, control, option, command, shift keys. Have to fall back to using the mouse and menus and selections.
Am also facing some issues with the MMB, as I would expect a click or a click-drag on the scroll-wheel to function as an MMB. More on this later when I encounter the problems again.
Is there a list published somewhere for hotkeys and solutions to mousing around and numkeys & Fn keys for the macbookpro running ubuntu linux? Find quite a few other shortcuts inoperable intuitively too. Also, any specifics on using the trackpad to handle all functions with the above configurations? Found quite a few things missing.
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Niyam
