I just realized something weird.
When I enter edit mode with a humanoid mesh, in the upper part of the Blender window, where the number of faces is shown (FA) it says ~21000 faces. However, when I go to Object Mode, it says ~10000 faces. This happens in the render window, it tells me ~10000 faces.
I know there are techniques which only render what’s on screen and so, but it’s been bugging me to know why it does this.
Uh. I am not quite sure this goes here, but well… yeah.
In the end, which one is the real poly count, the one in edit more or the one in object mode?
