I have an old ibm thinkpad, the ones with the little nob in the middle of the keyboard for a mouse. Over the weekend I noticed my tip of left pointer finger (the one I use to move the mouse) went numb and its been numb for the past 4 days.
Has anyone else had this issue?
how much have you been using it? i wouldnt worry though. i can hardly even feel anything in my left fingertips anymore from playing guitar.
i hate those mousepads.
Ermm not much but I was drawing on there for hours on hours on hour on hours and when I noticed my finger was imprinted with the stupid nod… it was like I was playing smash brothers for the 64
Yeah the guitar thing’s a different story though. Your skin just gets thicker to cope with the rough strings. Sutabi is the tip of your finger paler than the rest of your finger? If so, it’s serious. Go see a doctor. You might have a clotted nerve in your finger.
Oh and my ARM IS STILL KILLING ME! I don’t know what’s going on but I’m sure it’s because of my mouse. I can’t wait 'till they get those nose-mice. That’ll be the day I leap into the future.
EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking of the wrong thing. Your skin is burned from the friction. It’s not that serious.
My doctor recently told me that numb fingers can also be signs of carpal tunnel, related to mousing and other types of wrist activities
