NURBS Surface missing?

In the Add Primitive toolbar, there are NURBS curves, but no NURBS surfaces? What?

Just use Shift+A then

Doesn’t allow me to quickly add lots of surfaces though. Also doesn’t explain why NURBS curves are there, but not NURBS surfaces.
