NVIDIA 8800GT problem with baking in Blender

Hi Everybody, I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 1024mb DDR3 RAM/256 bit graphics card (hardware: CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 2 E7500, 4GB DDR2 RAM, Windows7 64bit). If I try to bake smoke/fluid/fire in Blender nothing happens. Blender (2.69 and 2.71) running, not collapse but not bakes, showing progress for a while but save nothing. Anything else working properly.
Has anybody used this card with Blender with or without a problem like this?
Thanks for the answers in advance.

Baking doesn’t use the gpu so something else is causing you problems.

It will be useful if you could supply screen shots showing what does/doesn’t happen and what you want. Also supply a blend file so other people can check your scene settings

Attaching a screen shot during baking and a blender file with paprikas falling in water. On the screen can be seen that baking inprogress but nothing happening-blender doesnt work and nothing saved in a folder was made. Using at home an old monitor-maybe can it cause the problem?
