.obj after import crash (MAC)

Hello I seem to be having problems with .obj’s.
whenever I import them into blender everything seems good everything is in place but after about a minute of work something will cause blender to crash!
I have tried the following things:

-using different blender versions

-using different .obj files

-trying different import parameters

-resiting my computer

and here is my computer im running on

PLEASE NOTE: all of the .OBJ’s were created and exported from the program “make a human”

Could ou post your blend? Usually, every .obj import works fine for me.

ok now im worried because now blender isnt just crashing with that file its just crashing!
so i think its my computer but to be sure try the blend anyway
just do random things with the blend file for like 10 minutes and if it doesnt crash then its safe to say its my computer

ive used blender a lot before but now its messing up!

ok im like on the verge of tears because i cant get anything done with blender!
i want to texture,rig, add particles and animate the beautiful mesh i have created but it always ends up crashing before i can get anything really done help me!

i want to use it so badly!
and i think that the problem might be with the graphics card or something because it usually will have some sort of weird glitch where the mesh like goes all physco and some of the faces turn red, blue and green then blender quits
maybe if i posted the error report would someone be able to figure out whats wrong with it then?
cuz i dont understand most of the stuff with the error report

and further more sometimes blender crashing will cause my computer to freeze then i have to press the shut down button

i made a new disc image and put blender on it
it seemed to work for much longer but the problem isnt fixed

ok i think i have located the problem
it has something to do with

the blender terminal says
“Segmentation fault
