Object with shadows by another objects

Hi everyone!
Modelled the room. The room includes the items (furniture). Need to render each item in the individual images. It should be saved in each image with all the shadows and reflections from other objects in the room (including from the room itself). For this in all materials of all objects other than the one I want to render include “only shadows”.
After rendering the shadows are too pale and barely visible.

The purpose of all this to get each object from a room in a separate image with shadows. At the same time in Photoshop / Gimp to rendering an empty room with such an image, everything looks the same as it was immediately rendered with this item.

What should I do?

Blender 2.49b

Use Object ID mask and Composting aftrer rendering…or render each object in separate Scene Layer, аnd hide (with Z-mask or not) other Scene Layers in Render Layers.

Ok, thank you!
I will look for examples:)

Example.

  1. A simple scene with a cube and a plane. For reference Render everything together (light - two spot and AO).

  2. Then render only “floor” - plane.

  3. Then cut in the material plane “only shadows”, and render settings include primul and save render with alpha (png)

  4. Superpose last two images in Photoshop / GIMP:

Unlike the first picture is very noticeable - the shade is very pale.
Сan just somehow strengthen the shadow in 3th step?

Use of render layers, I retain the shade in a separate image with alpha channel, but the shadows are too black.
Because turn on “Shadeless”, “Only Shadows” and “amb” set in 0.0 for plane-mesh:

Have to reduce their opacity in the Gimp, and only then combine with the desired image. Much too long!
and the first way you suggested to me (Use Object ID mask and Composting aftrer rendering) i don’t understand and could not find, sorry!

Hi:) You may only render shadows falling apart, excluding the rest of the (Z-Mask) and multiply in Gimp or Photoshop … The trouble because of the transparency. … although it can be alpha compositing lead to an opaque … but it is a long time:)
That is one object to be rendered two layers: the object itself and the drop shadow from him …

Thank you for tip!
