I am having a bit of a problem when an object is placed or moved off into the distance. Once that object gets a certain distance from the camera it disappears. Is there some sort of depth of field setting or something to stop this from happening?
yes check out the edit buttons with the camera selected. there are the near and far clipping buttons. objects further away then the far clipping plane simply - yes you noticed that - disappear.
