Octopus tentacle with b-bones


Even though I’ve added some extra loops to the model it looks bad in joints.
Is there a way to make smooth tentacle?

make sure that the subsurf modifier is below the armature modifier, or else it will subdivide then deform rather than deform then smooth.

Sometimes “Preserve Volume” option on the Armature modifier can correct this kind of problem on articulations.
