Odd cutoff with texture paint

I feel like I’m missing something obvious since it appears no one else has asked this before (or I just haven’t found it), but I’m having major issues with a weird cutoff in texture painting.

I’m currently using Blender 5.1.0 but I also tried 4.5 LTS and it has the same issue. The issue occurs regardless of brush size, strength, type, or any other setting I can find to mess around with.

Here’s a real world example where, at the angle I need to paint the plank ends, it just won’t even paint at all. I do have Ucupaint here but the issue occurs even without Ucupaint, so that’s not the issue.

Anyone have an idea what the issue is or how to fix it?

Ok, with the plank I somehow forgot to apply the scale. :man_facepalming: So now I can paint the end of my board but the cutoff issue is still present (as seen on the default cube). And also some view angles where there’s like a singe dot that won’t paint.

Well… you have Backface Culling off (in the options) and yes at certain angles faces are not painted…

So at least the first is a feature and not an issue  .

uncheck Falloff → Normal Falloff

Ah! That was the setting I couldn’t find! Changing or disabling that fixes the cutoff issue. Thank you!
