Odd Texture Painting Problem

Hello everyone, I’m working on texturing a set of modular corridors and something weird is happening with the textures. I’ve uploaded the file to Dropbox:

Modular Corridors

As you can see part of the model is just a plain black texture while the floors are textured with a concrete image. The problem is I can’t change the black texture. On Friday afternoon at 4:50 pm those walls had the mouldy concrete wall texture and by 4:55 it had changed to black and nothing I’ve been able to do has changed it back. I have spent the last two working days searching the internet and combing through the settings but nothing will allow me to paint the texture on the walls.

The model is (badly) UV unwrapped with a texture applied in the UV editor and the floor textures are showing up on the proper polygons there. I’ve tried painting in the UV editor and it changed the floor portion of the texture image but nothing showed up on the wall polys. What makes it most odd is that when I put the display into “rendered” the wall textures are there, but they appear to be messed up.

I’ve been using Blender for years but this is the first time I’ve ventured into texture painting and I’m stumped. The part that confuses me most is that the floors will take and show the texture but the walls won’t.

Could someone please take a look and tell me what I’ve broken because I have no clues whatsoever.

Thanks everyone.

Hello again, is anyone able to help with this problem? I’ve been looking and looking and can’t find anything.

Should I just scrap that version and start again with a new copy?

Any help is highly appreciated.

In the ‘ToolShelf’, under ‘Slots’, change the ‘Painting mode’ to ‘Image’, and pick the ‘DiffuseBase’ (or any other image you would like to paint) from the ‘Canvas Image’ dropdown.
