Well, I don’t know about anyone else, but I was quite excited when I heard that the Ogre rendering engine was being integrated into blender.
If I remember right, this was supposed to be done, or at least more news was to be given on it, way back in the fall of last year. I don’t remember hearing anything about this.
What’s happening with the project, and has the project been postponed or given up like many other projects lately?
Don’t know; development has been slow in it. There was a blenderbuild some time ago which had shadows; hovewer it has been lost in the sands of time. or smthng
But, for now, you could use blender 2 crystal, since it already has some nice graphical features.
But I the OGRE blenderbuilds… i dont really know, and with this speed there won’t be any blenderbuilds within the next two moths i guess.
There is a graphics/physics demo in the game forum I think - in one of the stickies
And you can fill up a room with all these wooden crates and I filled the room with 1000 boxes lol and they all react to one another when they collide at a pretty good frame rate. 1000 boxes = about 25fps for me lol
Feel free to enter the Rube Goldberg physics contest. It also allows OgreBullet, although still premature. Improvements are being done on the COLLADA export, so you can export an entire machine including all its constraints. http://www.continuousphysics.com/Bullet/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=775
Hope this helps,
Erwin
Yep, thanks!
What I’m really trying to find out about is the ogre rendering inegration by snailrose.(I think that’s his name)
Are you the one working on integrating bullet physics?
