OIDN is so good now that i need a noise threshold value higher than 1.0

It would be nice to see a noise threshold higher than 1.0 which is the current maximum. I’ve done some tests and OIDN is very easily handling the noise i can throw at it at a threshold of 1.0 especially in bright scenes lit with sky texture. So is it time we have a higher noise threshold to bring down the render times yet further? Especially for viewport preview.

If noise threshold is not correspond to your needs, you can disable it and define a low amount of samples by hand.

I can, however with high samples i will get a more uniform amount of noise if one area in the scene has a ridiculous amount of noise.

That is only relevant if your are using render tiles.

In that case, before increasing samples, you can try to change multiplier of scrambling distance.
