okay, where's the "select every nth" option?

i’ve got a few bits to extrude that i want to do by selecting, say, every other face in a loop. the wiki pages say there’s an option under the selection menu in Edit Mode, but i can’t see it (v 2.65) :-/

select the whole loop, then go to select>checker deselect

spacebar – type “select” – look for the option you want
