Old Man Bust finished work in blender 2.78
I start sculpt with a subdiv cube by imagine no have reference photo and use only sun lamp for lighting.

It is an amazing detailed work, congratulations.
I wonder if it can be printed in wax, and then casted in “lost wax” method.
But it should have 1, 5 mm thickness. I don’t know if one can do this in Blender, or should export to another program.
But it is interesting, I will try to find out.
