Hi guys, I’m new here!
The new 2.5 version made me think again and finally start to use Blender. I’m an old Maya user as title states, and I need a little help from you experienced guys.
1) If you’ve ever used Maya you’ll know what I’m talking about, if you haven’t I’ll try to explain. How can I setup preference so when I have a 3D object selected and then click somewhere in the background (and move my mouse while click is pressed) I don’t move the object. Basically I want to whenever I click on background to dis-select anything that has been selected before.
2) When I try to move any object with buttons I can see the viewport manipulators which I’m really used to see and work with, but when I access translate/rotate/scale with hotkeys (which I love) the viewport manipulators aren’t visible! Could I make them visible again?
3) Is there a way to see rectangle marquee when I want to select more objects. (click, hold, drag over) ? Or do I have to select each one by shift + selecting?
I hope everything above is fixable, because only these things are making my transition hard.
Thanks for help,
-eXtreme3D!
