One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

One of the best movies I have ever seen. Jack Nicholson at his greatest. Not recommend to all it is a fairly “heavy” movie.

Here is an overview http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073486/

yeah, good movie. the book is also quite good- I read it when I was in my teens about 15 times in a row, because that’s how many repeats it took me to read it and not make me feel totally depressed.
use of present tense in the book gave it sort of an imagistic, timeless feel. When I saw the movie for the first time, I was kinda dissapointed at how “uncinematic” it felt, compared to reading the book.
Still like it though. Watch it to see the movie that typecast Louise Fletcher (Nurce Ratchett) for the rest of her career.

Thats the beauty of it. It wasnt cinematic. It was REAL. It was believable. Not a fluffy piece of modern cinema. it was more of a documentary than anything.
